2025 Charity Game Recap
On March 22, 2025 the Lightning high school hockey club faced off against the First Responders. This is our annual charity game to support the Tunnels to Towers Foundation. An organization that helps first responders injured, or killed the line of duty.
The day included raffles, snacks, games, face painting and more.
We were absolutely honored to have the anthem sung by “Chicago’s Original Voice of the National Anthem” since 1980 Mr. Wayne Messmer!
The high school team took to the ice in style compliments of the Dundee Crown Drum Line!
After three periods the games was tied 6-6 going into OT which lead to a shootout where in five rounds the First Responders took home for a third time the Raymond Murrell trophy.
An amazing event was followed by a free open skate for families and a shared meal compliments of Wise Guys Pizza.
In the end we raised an event record breaking $7,00 for Tunnels to Towers foundation.
Thanks to Lightning nation for stepping up to create this community event.
